Fourth District Judge Michael McLaughlin said Thursday that Robert Hall, 44, must spend at least 17.5 years in prison for the March 2011 shooting death of Meridian attorney Emmett Corrigan
Kandi Hall, who is the wife of convicted murderer Robert Hall, was sentenced to 14 years in prison, with two years fixed for stealing more than $30,000 dollars from a former employer.
Police say Hall shot 30-year-old Emmett Corrigan in the head and chest over in a Walgreens parking lot in March of 2011. It was disclosed in court testimony that Corrigan and Hall's wife, Kandi, were having an affair.
Jurors hearing the first-degree murder trial against 42-year-old Robert Dean Hall were sent home late Tuesday morning. Closing arguments are set for Wednesday.
Hall is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Emmett Corrigan. Prosecutors allege he knew his wife and Corrigan were having an affair and confronted him with a gun in the parking lot of a Meridian drug store on March 11, 2011.
